(exercise 1)                                            The Birth Lottery

It is good to become aware of the nature of the world we have been born into. A very fundamental element of this is the fact that life is not "fair"  For the purpose of analyzing this state I use the word fair with out an connotation of pejorative or blame or criticism it is just a fact.

Question:  Do you see that where and to whom you are born to is not at anyones control and that one's start in life is going to be greatly determined by that outcome?> Discuss

Question:  On a scale of 1 to10, 10 being very positive, where would you put yourself?  What do you feel about this "score"?

Question:  Think of someone' situation that you would consider to be a 1.  Think of someones situation that you would consider to be a 10.  What is it that would make a 10?

Question:  (It is important to point out that in looking at this topic it is NOT about engendering any sense of guilt.) Without overtly contradicting my earlier statement; Do you think that man has any control over the birth lottery?; what could/should he do?> Discuss
